About the instructor:
Madeline Newman Ríos is a Spanish court interpreter, certified by the Judicial Council of California and the Administrative Office of the United States Courts. She is also a certified Spanish to English translator certified for Spanish to English translations as a life member of the American Translators Association. Her educational activities include presentations for several national, international, and statewide interpreter and translator conferences, as well as Judicial Council approved courses. She has taught translation and interpretation at the University of California at Fullerton and at Long Beach.

Ms. Ríos graduated summa cum laude with a Masters Degree in Spanish Translation and Interpreting from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley and has more than 35 years of experience as a translator and interpreter.
